It’s a new year and time to announce some of the most exciting new venue openings we’re looking forward to in 2017. This year London will see the opening of a whole host of stunning new hotel spaces, as well as some great new restaurants and bars that are perfect for events.

 

The Lalit London

A new luxury boutique hotel, The Lalit London opens this month. The hotel features 70 beautifully designed rooms, each ornamented with bespoke Indian art – combining Indian culture with a quintessentially British charm. It has a great location too, just a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge.

 

Ten Trinity Square

Built a century ago with its great tower and a grand Portland stone rotunda, the existing structure of Ten Trinity Square is being comprehensively and meticulously restored and upgraded. The building will comprise a distinctive collection of spaces harmoniously arranged to provide the very best of places to live, to stay and to meet. Etc.Venues County Hall 

Opening in January 2017, etc.venues County Hall offers conference, meeting and event space situated in on the fourth floor at County Hall. The venue has an enviable location on the riverside next to The London Eye and opposite The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The large multi-purpose interconnecting space will include two suites for groups of up to 900. The venue will boast stunning views across The Thames towards Westminster. Interior design is by Jestico and Whiles.

  

Street Feast Canary Wharf

If you’re looking for a new street food market to host your next event at, make your way to Canary Wharf, where the team behind Hawker House and Dinerama are opening a new street food market filled with London’s favourite vendors. National Army Museum

The National Army Museum opens this year, it’s now in the final stages of its transformation to create an inspiring museum that connects people to the British Army. Nobu Hotel Shoreditch

Best known for his restaurants, chef Nobu Matsuhisa is due to open a hotel in London this year. The five-storey, 156-room hotel will be located on Willow Street in Hackney. The property features angular, fair-faced concrete balconies and its façade is made of printed, layered glass that is highly reflective, to allow light in while ensuring privacy. Guests will also have access to a landscaped garden and a triple-height restaurant will form the hotel’s hub. The Ned Hotel

A Grade I listed former Midland Bank headquarters in the City has bene turned into the newest venue from the Soho House Group, opening this Spring. Expect 252 suites, restaurants and a rooftop bar with landscaped terraces, health spa and gym. The hotel also includes event spaces and a private members’ club with a rooftop swimming pool and an underground bar.
