The Royal Hospital Chelsea was founded by King Charles II in 1682 to provide soldiers with a home for their retirement and for the ‘succour and relief of veterans broken by age and war’. The Hospital boasts three centuries of service and is close to the heart of the ‘The Men in Scarlett’, the Chelsea Pensioners. The Hospital will continue to provide its services in the 21st Century, being here for today’s young soldiers.
