The Geffrye is set in Grade I listed 18th century almshouses with tranquil gardens in Hoxton, just north of the City. The museum explores the home and home life from 1600 to the present day through a series of evocative period London living rooms and gardens.

The museum’s green and peaceful setting and proximity to the City make it an ideal venue for receptions, cocktail parties, press launches, talks and meetings. During the summer months, both the front lawns and period gardens can also be hired for events. It is listed as one of the top six venues in East London.

Receptions for up to 250 people can be held in the garden atrium, an airy glass and redbrick building overlooking the gardens. Daytime events for up to 150 people can be accommodated in the contemporary gallery or smaller events in the art rooms or Georgian panelled room.

The museum galleries and gardens are open to all during the daytime and can be hired individually or in addition to other spaces outside the museums opening hours.
