THE FEBRUARY RESTAURANT LIST

Love is in the air! If you’re looking for somewhere special for a romantic evening as we approach Valentine’s Day, take a look at this month’s top restaurants, perfect for impressing that special someone.

Clos Maggiore

A splendidly over the top romantic setting. The conservatory is bedecked in a forest of white blossoms, with fairy lights, candles and soft lighting. The menu is inspired by Provence, and the pre-theatre menu is a great deal.

GALVIN BISTROT DE LUXE

Push the boat out with a classically French dinner at this Marylebone bistro. The inviting dining room is relaxed, with dark chocolate wood panelling and globe lighting. The coffee is not to be missed.

Ledbury

Going for something seriously swish? Whisk your date to the two Michelin-starred Ledbury, for a delicious take on modern French food.

For a more relaxed evening of extremely good seafood Wright Brothers is your place. There are industrial fittings, high tables, blackboards full of daily specials, and the freshest shellfish in town. Well you know what they say about oysters…

Operatavern

One of Covent Garden’s best spots for a romantic dinner, the Opera Tavern used to be a pub, but has since been split into an upstairs restaurant and cosy bar. The menu is Spanish-Italian with great daily specials.

A show-stopping view is a must on a romantic evening, so head to the 28th floor of the Hilton on Park Lane for dinner at Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows. It’s one of the capital’s most talked about restaurants, for good reason.

hakkasan

If you’re going for Catonese cooking, Hakkasan is your place. This Michelin-starred restaurant has a stylish interior, with plenty of mood lighting. The food is amongst the best Cantonese cuisine in the capital.
