Soho House is opening this new hotel, at the old Midland Bank on Poultry. The NINE restaurants at the new hotel include one in the vault and another on the rooftop.
THE OTHER NAUGHTY PIGLET, WESTMINSTER SW1
The Brixton ‘Naughty Piglet’ has become such a hit that it’s caught the eye of Andrew Lloyd-Webber, who has brought them to the Other Place Theatre to open their second restaurant.
This deli has long been a fixture at Maltby Street market, now it is opening a permanent restaurant in Hoxton, serving up its famous pastrami, salt beef and bagels.
This Harlem favourite is massively popular in New York. Now it’s coming to the Curtain Hotel in Shoreditch, with legendary yardbird fried chicken and Helga’s meatballs.
MAPLE AND KINGS, KINGS CROSS N1
The follow-up to the original Maple and Fitz will serve up a similarly healthy menu of salad, juices and gluten-free desserts.
A cured meat bar, deli and bottle shop is opening in Camberwell. The restaurant is by Cannon and Cannon, a company which provides British charcuterie to plenty of markets across town.
