However, the current Plaisterers’ Hall was opened in the 1970s and emulates the grandeur of the Neo-Classical era. The charismatic interior décor is a spectacular reproduction of the work of Robert Adam, a prominent Scottish architect who designed many other famous landmarks in the late 18th century, from Drury Lane’s Theatre Royal to the Royal Exchange in Edinburgh.
