Debtors Prison

This central London pub is a great example of an old Victorian “Gin Palace”, a tribute to an architectural first (the Holborn Viaduct), and has links to the old Newgate Prison. Its spooky connections make it a great choice for Halloween parties – the pub stands on the original site of an 18^th Century debtors prison and features cells in its basement. There have even been claims of hauntings.
