The arresting IMAX venue is one guaranteed to impress your guests. It is suited to a number of events and especially those that want to make use of the venue’s state of the art audiovisual equipment.

Introducing the IMAX, an extraordinary modern venue with all the latest technology that is bound to wow your guests. The entire venue is available for private hire, so your event can completely take over this impressive building.

In addition, individual areas of the IMAX can be hired; the First Floor Foyer and Film Café or the Auditorium. The First Floor Foyer provides event space for up to 320 people, ideal for receptions or standing events whilst the Film Café can host up to 180 guests for a standing reception or 100 for a relaxed seated event. The Auditorium can accommodate 450 standing guests or 250-seated guests.

The IMAX is in a prime location, just minutes from Waterloo station. Although it is surrounded by transport links (4 meters above the underground and in the centre of a roundabout) the entire building’s structure is a sound and vibration proof island of silence.

The London IMAX was designed by Bryan Avery and opened in 1999. The cinema’s screen is the second largest in Britain. The building has won a number of awards for its design, including a Design Council Millennium Products Award in 1999 and a Civic Trust Award in 2000.
