The Foundling Museum is a stunning venue that offers the opportunity to have an event in one of London’s finest surviving Rococo interiors. Located in a leafy and secluded area of Bloomsbury, the Foundling Museum is a lavish venue with elegant 18th Century interiors.

The Grade II listed museum is arranged over four floors. Events can occupy the entire museum to allow guests to enjoy all of the Museum’s galleries. Or, either the Picture Gallery or smaller Court Room are ideal settings for more intimate events such as dinners and meetings.

The Foundling Museum will provide a lavish background for a range of different events. Built upon the Foundling hospital which was the UK’s first children’s hospital is drenched in history and is dedicated to its charitable roots. Extravagant paintings cover the walls in both the picture gallery and the court room to ensure your event is majestic and memorable.

The private hire spaces facilitate a range of different occasions everything from a corporate meeting to an extravagant wedding. The space can accommodate for up to 250 guests for a reception and 100 guests for a private dinner. Getting to the venue won’t be an issue with Russell Square tube station nearby and Euston station only 10 mins away.

The atmospheric Picture Gallery can host 50-100 dinner guests. The Court Room, designed by Hogarth, can host up to 35 guests.

The Foundling Museum was established in 1998 and following an extensive and loving renovation was reopened in 2004. The Museum displays the Foundling Hospital Collection, the history of the Foundling Hospital and the careers of eminent British figures such as Hogarth and Handel. The Foundling Hospital was the first home in London for abandoned children, founded in 1739. The Hospital was closed in 1954 and demolished in 1926.
