The Japan Centre has opened a new flagship store and food hall on Panton Street, off Leicester Square.
We love all things Japanese so this new expanded offering is very exciting! It’s the ultimate one-stop-shop for all things Japanese, with a number of specialist food rooms, focusing on different foods, alongside all everything you expect to find in the Japan Centre. In addition, there’s a central, 100-seat food courtyard which would make an amazing space for Japanese-themed parties!
Of course the Japanese food you’ll find at the Japan Centre is top notch too – there’s a whole room just for miso, serving fresh miso and hard-to-find examples. There are also fresh and dry goods like seaweed, dashi and soy sauce. You can buy the freshest fish for making sashimi too.
There’s a dedicated tea room, where you can order tea by the gram and also try lots of different blends.
And if you really want to get the party started, don’t miss the sake room. There are loads of different styles to try and experts on hand to help you choose.
